Dr. Alan Wallace - Consciousness, Buddhism and Science
"Dr. Wallace is the founder and President of the Santa Barbara Institute for the Study of Consciousness. Dr. Wallace, a scholar and practitioner of Buddhism since 1970, has taught Buddhist theory and meditation throughout Europe and America since 1976. Ordained by the Dalai Lama, he has an undergraduate degree in physics and the philosophy of science at Amherst College, and a doctorate in religious studies at Stanford. He joins Steve in this episode to introduce concepts of Buddhism, and to explore the limits of materialist approaches to consciousness."
